I’m Fraser Stephen, a London-based Cinematographer, Self-Shooting Director and Photographer, originally from the north east of Scotland. I work internationally across branded, documentary, sport, fashion and culture.
With over 15 years’ experience, my work is rooted in photography and shaped by cinematography — combining a considered visual style with a documentary sensibility and an instinct for authentic moments.
I’ve worked as the DoP on projects for National Theatre, Qatar Airways x Paris St. Germain, The FA, Premier League Productions, England Cricket, Nike and JD Sports, among others. My work has been recognised for its elevated docu-style aesthetics by British Cinematographer. I've been involved in projects which have been awarded by the British Film Institute ('Safe', BFI Futures Best Micro Short 2023) and The Clios (World's Fastest FPV Drone vs. F1 Car ft Max Verstappen).
I enjoy working collaboratively and being closely involved in the image-making process, from developing the visual approach through to the final frame. Whether working as part of a large crew or shooting more independently, I bring a considered visual style, a practical approach and a genuine curiosity about the people and stories in front of the camera.
